First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HRsoft.
Business Analyst
Started with a phone interview. Then, a week later, I had an in-person interview. The in-person was back-to-back with other interviews and they really rushed me. The environment seemed off, with people not interacting. There were two technical tests to pass, followed by a paper application. During the interview, the interviewers gossiped about a previous candidate, which was a red flag. They did talk up the company, but walking out, I saw cramped workers at small desks, silently working. Not a great environment. Glad I didn't end up working there.
- How do you manage your time?
Software Analyst
30 minute interview with standard questions + a couple of simple technical questions. The one thing that I thought was odd is that they didn't have their cameras on even though I had mine on the entire time. It was hard to make a genuine connection and gauge their responses because I couldn't read their body language. I agreed to a video interview, so I expected the interviewer to also have their camera on. Additionally, they didn't really talk much about the role itself at all. About 90% of it consisted of me answering their questions. A job interview should be a two way interaction, but this one felt very one-sided.
- Could you create a SQL table with a specified number of rows and columns?
- What does a primary key signify?
- Can you explain what a foreign key is?
Software Developer
The interview process can vary quite a bit depending on who is conducting the interview. I think most interviews for technical roles now use more traditional questions like, 'how would you do X.' My interview was a while ago, so it might not completely represent the current methods. However, I have talked about the process with some of the newer employees.
- Given your qualifications, what motivates your interest in this role?
Developer
I had a phone chat and then they set up an in-person for me. I was told to plan for a 4-hour visit. I met the hiring manager, then had two interviews with peers. I also filled out a lengthy application and completed an IQ test.
- Have you completed an IQ test before?
