I had a phone screening, then a take-home assessment, and finally an interview with a Sr. Analyst and an Associate. I thought the process was fine, and I really enjoyed talking to my interviewers. I even felt like I aced my last interview but didn't get the job. I'm not sure what they were looking for because I thought my resume and interests were more than enough for this position. I would definitely study personal narrative more for interviews like this, as mine was somewhat technical based on my background and interests.

I applied for an Analyst position in Spring/Summer 2022 as I was finishing grad school. I did an at-home assessment first, then had 5 interviews. I started with an Analyst and then interviewed with people with higher ranks up to Director/Partner. The first 2-3 interviews were chill and conversational, but the last couple with the Directors/Partners were tougher because they hit me with a couple case studies. I felt like I messed up on those, so I wasn't shocked when I didn't get the job. But I was bummed they ghosted me instead of just saying no. Talking to the hiring team was super hard, and the whole thing took forever, like months. It was really slow.

I've actually applied to HR&A twice. Both times, I found the experience to be negative for two reasons related to the lack of respect and consideration they give their applicants. First, the process is a complete black box. Don't expect to ever hear from these people about the timeline, for instance. If you get another job offer, take it, because you'll just plain never hear from HR&A, don't bother letting them know you have another offer. This is surprising to me given the fact that they have a person dedicated to recruiting and keeping people (chief talent officer). Second, I found the people I spoke with were cold and impassive with the exception of one man.
