First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HPC Industrial.
LDAR Technician
The interview process is pretty simple and direct. If you don't have prior experience, they will train you, and then you'll be placed on the refinery floor in the position. It's really important to ask a lot of questions about this job. Whoever ends up training you, make sure you ask them a ton of questions and really soak up that knowledge so you can do LDAR effectively.
- How motivated are you, and do you have a fear of heights?
Vapor Control Operator
The interview process is smooth and easy. They primarily want to ensure you're genuinely interested in the company and not just looking for a paycheck. They will inquire about your knowledge of vapor control. Be upfront about what you know, even if it's nothing; they'd rather you admit you don't know than pretend you do.
- Could you tell me what you understand about vapor control?
Field Technician
It was a super quick interview. They were mainly looking at my work ethic and if I was willing to help out colleagues regardless of their position. They reviewed my past work history to ensure I had relevant experience. They also inquired about my readiness to travel for the job. I confirmed my extensive travel experience from a prior role.
- How would you respond if a colleague requested your assistance?
Chemical Technician
It was a straightforward interview. I went to a job fair and got hired right there. Then, I had to immediately do some drug tests: hair follicles, breathalyzer, and a urine test. The whole thing was super quick and easy.
- Can you describe your educational background and work experience?
