First up was some standard psychometric testing, nothing too tricky. Then, I had to do a solo video interview where I answered 4 questions. They were mostly about why I want to work for Howden and in insurance, and what skills I have that would be good for the job.

The whole process from applying to getting the final decision took 7 weeks. The hiring manager called me unexpectedly for the first interview. The second interview was scheduled a week after the first one, and it was set to happen 10 days from then. They told me they'd decide within a week and let me know. I had to reach out to HR two weeks later for an update, and they said they chose someone with more direct experience, which was confusing because my last two jobs were exactly this kind of work.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was quick, pleasant, streamlined and efficient. The recruitment team, and interviewers were well-prepared for the interviews, took a genuine interest in my relevant experience rather than focusing on my knowledge of the company and products and asked tough but fair questions. Overall, a very positive experience with direct feedback provided quickly and honestly. The interview process was as follows: 1. Informal discussion concerning potential role and company fit with the responsible HR contact 2. First official interview was with the HR Director, HR contact and the Head of the team that the role would report to 3. Following this interview, I was asked to complete a personality questionnaire 4. Second interview was with the same group as listed in point 2, as well as a leader from a parallel team. This second interview also required me to create a presentation outlining my priorities for the first 90 days on the job,. 5. The last interview was with the most senior leader in the division/group All interviews, apart from the first informal chat, were conducted via a video link which enabled a much better interaction with the Howden team.
