First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Howard Johnson.
Manager
First, there was a phone screening to see if I was a good fit, basically asking about my background and interest. Then, I had an in-person interview that focused on customer service and how I managed teams, asking for specific examples from my hotel manager days. Lastly, I had a scenario-based interview where they gave me hypothetical situations and asked how I'd handle them, like dealing with tough customers or conflicts.

They'll give a multiple choice and journal entry exam. Once you pass the exam, they'll invite you for an interview with Management and they'll ask your experience and some specific accounting entries and principles.
