The interview process for the Benefits Manager role began in early September 2016 and concluded in December 2016. It involved two in-person interviews with team members, an Excel competency test, and a DISC assessment. Despite being informed I was a top candidate and the role evolving to include more general HR duties, and even having my references contacted, the process ended without any closure or response to my final communications. I later learned through social media in January 2017 that the position was filled, without any notification to the leading candidates.

It was just a phone interview with an HR rep, not the department supervisor. She asked for examples of customer service situations, like 'a time when you provided good customer service' and 'a time when you gave good service but couldn't satisfy the customer.' She really struggled to understand my responses, and I had to explain things multiple times. She mentioned she'd only been there 2 years and still didn't know 'what everybody does.' This made me realize she likely had very little knowledge of game operations, services, or venues. The interview was supposed to be 15-20 minutes, but she called 6 minutes late and it ended up being 40 minutes. My current job had a game that evening, and it was a busy day, but I tried to make the call work. She didn't ask anything about my job-specific experience or qualifications for the role. Because the call started late and ran long, I had to talk and drive, park, and walk through a busy downtown area, all while trying to articulate my thoughts for this opportunity. It was a really rough experience, and I'm extremely disappointed.

They reach out to you about a video interview where you record yourself responding to 6 different questions regarding the position then submit It through a third party interview site for them to view later. They then have you do an "editing test" where they send you random footage/music and tell you to piece together a short sizzle to send to the hiring manager to view. Overall simple, easy process.
