First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Houston Ballet Foundation.
Marketing
The interview process was quite unusual. They didn't ask me any questions directly. Instead, I was prompted to ask all the questions. Following this, they took me on a tour of the entire facility, which felt very strange. It also took an exceptionally long time to receive any feedback, even after I followed up.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Customer Service Representative
I applied online and then had to wait about a month before my interview. I didn't get the job in the end, but I think I really connected with the interviewers. It was mostly a chill, friendly chat, but still a professional interview. They first explained what the job was about, then asked me questions. After they were done, I got to ask them some questions too.
- What would you do if a customer freaked out on the phone because the website went down?
Institutional Giving Coordinator
First there was a quick phone call with the IGM. Then, a zoom meeting with the IGM and IGD. The last step was meeting various people from the department, like the CDO.
- What draws you to the Houston Ballet?
- What about this specific role interests you?
- Can you describe how your background aligns with the requirements of this position?
Executive Assistant
The interview process included a 20-minute phone interview and a 60-minute Microsoft skills assessment that was sent to me. I wasn't able to finish everything on time.
- Could you ask questions based on the information in my resume?
- Microsoft skills assessment
