I was really looking forward to the first interview with HR, which was a pleasant and professional conversation and seemed to go well. After that, I got positive feedback and an invite to the next step. I was asked for my availability to set up a video call with the Design Team. I sent my availability as requested, but then I never got an invitation. I followed up multiple times with the person I first interviewed with about my interview status, but I never heard back. Six months went by, and I still haven't received any feedback. I was essentially ghosted. For a company that says 'Trust and transparency' is a value, I'd expect at least a message about closing the process rather than leaving me hanging for so long.

After finishing a pretty long online application, I was asked to send in a video of myself answering five questions. Next, I had a phone interview. I spoke with an HR person and the director of design for about an hour. We covered a bunch of standard interview questions, and also chatted about my work, my approach to design, and my portfolio. Everyone was really nice and relatable. A few days after, I found out I didn't get to the last stage. Even though I didn't get the job, the whole thing was enjoyable and a good experience.

The process was long and thorough, but they were really supportive throughout. They actually outline the steps in advance on their recruitment page so you know what to expect. It was nice to speak directly with people who could be my future colleagues while working on the task, as it gave me a small taste of what it's like working there.
