Had a 20min call with a recruiter. They spent 5 min asking how to say my name and emphasized its importance, then mispronounced it. This call felt superficial, with shallow questions and no indication the recruiter was actually listening. After 2 weeks of silence, I followed up. Two months later, I got a response stating the applicant pool was strong and I wasn't moving forward. I wish their recruiters were as skilled as their candidates.

Recruiter contacted me first, then we had a video call interview. After that, I was given a task to complete with the team. Then, there was a call to go over the task. After joining Hotjar's Slack, the task itself had two parts: a presentation and a technical interview about the task. Finally, I received the result (offer/no offer).

The whole process was pretty good, very organized and they communicated well all the way through. There were 4 main stages plus an offline test that we would go over in the final step. The earlier stages were really nice. You'll talk about the job you applied for and go over some projects you did in past jobs.
