Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hotelbeds.
Contracts Manager
I had a phone interview that lasted about 20 minutes. The manager asked me about my past experiences and specifically if I had sales experience. They went over the job description and were very professional. It seemed like numbers are really important to them regarding sales, as the conversation focused more on the importance of closing sales.
- Can you tell me about your experiences?
- What would you say are your strengths?
- Do you have any sales experience?
Contract Manager
I had a phone interview with Cassidy, who was really calm and lovely. She said everything was positive and that we'd move to the next round with the hiring manager. I was told I'd be contacted within 48 hours, but if not, to call her. Three days passed, and nothing happened, so I emailed but got no reply. Then I sent a chat message a few days later, still no reply. The next morning, I got an email apologizing for the delay and saying the hiring manager would be in touch ASAP. Finally, the next morning, I got an email simply stating the position had been filled. It's interesting how a company's words and actions can be so disconnected. It says a lot about their dishonesty; I definitely wouldn't recommend them.

Contracts Manager
The interview process spanned about 1.5 months, though the holiday season made the timeline understandable. It started with a call from the HR manager, followed by an interview with the line manager/regional manager. This second interview included a role-play scenario simulating a meeting with a hotelier and a data analysis task. I received an email from the line manager expressing their interest and stating HR would send a formal offer the next week. The following week, HR called to discuss salary expectations, which were above their initial budget. I indicated a willingness to negotiate based on the overall package, and HR said they would check for flexibility and respond by the end of the week. It's now been three weeks with no further communication, despite multiple follow-up attempts, and I've received no response.
