First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hospice of the Chesapeake.
Hospice RN Case Manager
First, you'll have a pre-screening chat with HR. This is a good time to ask about the salary range and for them to see if you're a good fit. After that, they'll set up an interview with a Clinical Manager, who is the person that leads the team you'd be joining. Sometimes, more than one manager will be in the interview. You can choose between an in-person meeting or a Zoom call.
- Tell me about your comfort level with using technology for patient care.
- Nurses are required to use computers, work phones, and various applications for patient management; how proficient are you with these tools?
Hospice Nurse
The interview process was really straightforward and they let me know what to expect. The interviewers were on time and asked good questions. They were friendly and professional. I honestly don't have any complaints about how the interview went or the follow-up.
- Tell me about your nursing experience.
- What are your greatest strengths?
- What are your weaknesses?
Human Resources Generalist
Interview process was great. I received a call for a prescreen and the next day, I was invited in for an interview. I had a small group interview. I was invited back for a second interview to meet with some higher level managers. A few days later, I was offered the position.
- Could you discuss your career path and the experiences that have brought you to this point?
Registered Nurse Case Manager
Had a quick phone screen, then I met the manager for about 30 mins. They wanted me to do a share day, which I did for 4 hours. I got the job offer. The whole thing took over a month cause people were on vacation.
