The college recruiter interviewed me on campus the day after the career fair. It was a pretty informal setting, with other companies also interviewing in the same room. The interviewer was the same guy from the career fair, so it was easy to connect. He was also an alum, so we chatted about other things besides work.

First up was a quick 30-minute phone chat with a recruiter. They went over my resume and asked some situational/behavioral questions about leadership, initiative, a time I was persuasive, and what I knew about Hormel Foods. I got an email within a week about whether they wanted to move forward to the next stage at headquarters. Then, I interviewed at Headquarters with 4 or 5 people individually. They were VPs and Directors and had different personalities. I was told to just be myself and be confident. They mainly wanted to see what kind of person I am and if I'd fit the company culture. Being genuine and honest was key. I also got asked situational/behavioral questions about leadership, initiative, and why they should hire me.

Got referred by a connection. Recruiter reached out a few days later. Recruiter was very responsive and friendly. Started with a 30-minute phone interview. They shared a little about the company. Asked about me, why sales, and if I was willing to relocate. They shared more about the responsibilities of the sales rep job. Then, I was told they'd send an email to interview at the corporate office at a time convenient for me. Set up an in-person interview for 3 weeks later. Met with 4 different members of management for 30 minutes. They advised to be confident and have stories to tell of leadership, persuasion, and why Hormel.
