Started with HR, then met with the design head. After that, there was a design test, and then a group interview where we talked about design thinking. Overall, it felt pretty fair. They also had me design for one of their actual clients.

HR reached out to me on LinkedIn. The role sounded great, so I agreed to an interview. I spoke with the hiring manager first. Even though she was new, she spoke highly of leadership and asked about my experience integrating systems. We spoke for about 30 minutes about the company and the role. She said she was interested in moving forward, and then had me speak with her boss. He spent most of the time talking about the company's vision and asked very few questions. He said they would let me know by the end of the week. Initially, I heard back from HR after I reached out asking for an update. She said she was waiting for feedback and would let me know. After that, all I heard were crickets!

It was a bogus hiring process. The position got cancelled after we were selected. The company interviewed us and proceeded as if the role was active, but then rescinded the offer saying the client put the role on hold. This shows poor planning and misleading hiring practices. Candidates put in a lot of time and effort, and canceling roles at the end shows a lack of professionalism. My advice to management is to not start hiring until the requirement is confirmed. Stop using candidates as backups while relying on uncertain client decisions. This hurts trust and the company's reputation.
