Customer Service Representative
If my application is shortlisted, I might have an initial phone or video interview with a recruiter or HR rep. This interview usually checks my communication skills, so I can understand your company.
- Where are you from, and can you speak Spanish or English?
Senior Business Analyst
So I had a phone screening first, then an interview with the hiring manager who talked about the project and what they were looking for. Then I spoke with the technical lead for more of a technical chat. The final part was an onsite with the VP and a senior manager.
- Can you describe the various SDLC methods you've used?
Software Engineer
I had a recruiter call first to see if I was interested. Then we scheduled a phone screen for about a week out. It was with a manager who wasn't my direct manager, and it was pretty easy, asking general technical questions. After about a month, I had my face-to-face interview where they asked me questions from a list. I got the offer two weeks later, but I had to turn it down because the pay wasn't high enough compared to what's normal in the industry.

Electronics Engineer
You're asked to come to their HQ for an interview. They usually ask about CAD, ISO, and electronics knowledge, plus some random stuff that doesn't really matter.
- Tell me about your understanding of ISO standards.
- How would you describe your CAD skills?
- What's your background in electronics?
