First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HORAN.
Intern
The interview process was very simple and worked great with my timing. I interviewed with 3 people from different areas of Horan. They explained their roles and what I would be doing GREAT. They asked me questions about my previous job and how that would translate to this job, and how I could use experiences from previous employment for this job.
- How do you manage your time, especially with everything you have going on?
- Can you describe your time management process?
Marketing
I found the listing on Indeed back in July 2014. The HR folks at Horan reached out a few days later and we scheduled a phone interview for early August. It went pretty standard, and they said they'd get back in about a week. Two weeks went by (late August) with no word, so I called them. They said they'd reach out by the end of that week. It's now early December, four months later, and still nothing. The job is still posted on their site.
- Were there any particularly difficult or unexpected questions?
Assistant Controller
I had an initial chat with the hiring manager, then spoke to the VP of Finance. After that, it was just me and one other person left, so I met with the team I would be working with. A week later, I got a call saying they weren't gonna offer me the job.
- Could you review a financial statement and quickly identify any issues without much time spent on it?
Client Specialist
The interview process seemed a little long, but the people I met with were very intuitive and asked great questions. I had one phone interview and two in-person interviews. The front desk person was very nice when checking in.
- How do you manage handling multiple issues or projects at the same time?
