First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hopelink.
Mobility Coordinator
I applied and got an interview request the same day! The recruiter was super nice, and the first interview was a phone call where they asked some basic interview questions. I advanced to the next round, which was a virtual panel interview. They sent me the employee paperwork beforehand. The panel had 4 people who asked a total of 14 questions. Most questions were behavioral, and they left time for my questions at the end. I had to follow up a week later, and they told me they chose someone else from a partner agency.
- What motivates your interest in this role?
Software Engineer
It was a pretty straightforward process. If you got past the initial interview, you'd then face a panel interview with people from various departments. It wasn't a super tough interview, and the atmosphere was welcoming.
- Can you describe a time you dealt with a challenging situation?
Client Services Program Coordinator
I was emailed directly about the role and then had to fill out a second application in person, which was redundant since I'd already done the online one and wasn't told about it beforehand. I wasn't prepared with my 7-year history and reference details, which I had already submitted. The interview itself was with a three-person panel, and they were all very knowledgeable and had been in the position before. The job seemed to be less as described and more like a personal assistant role.
- Can you share your experience over the last seven years?
- Could you please provide the contact information for your references?
- What administrative assistant duties are you familiar with?
Program Coordinator
I applied online, and the process moved along well, starting with a phone screen and then an in-person interview where I met with a group of people from the organization. Although I didn't end up getting an offer, it was a good experience, and I appreciated Hopelink for professionally and quickly emailing me to let me know they had chosen someone else. Since job searching is already tough, I value it when companies treat the process and everyone involved respectfully.
- What are your career aspirations for your next role?
