First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hoopla Software.
Marketing
The whole process, from application submission to offer, took about two weeks. The initial phone interview and two onsite interviews were fairly straightforward. The second onsite was mainly for meeting the team, HR, and the CEO. Just make sure you do your research beforehand: understand the company and its products, and try out the trial version if available.
- What strategies would you use to boost conversion rates?
Sales Development Representative
I talked with the sales manager, VP, and CEO. It was a really nice and welcoming vibe. We were in one of their meeting rooms, and it was a one-on-one kind of thing. They asked me some normal questions and wanted to know about my past wins and how they'd fit this job.
- Can you pitch the product?
Software Engineer
So I had a couple of Google Hangouts for a first technical screen, it was a pretty standard algorithms thing, medium difficulty, mostly to see how I'd structure my code and approach the problem. Then I went on-site, met three different people for about an hour each, we talked tech and did some technical problems. The day after the on-site, I had another engineer give me a take-home problem, which was a real challenge! After I sent that in, it took about a week to hear back.
- They will ask questions about your algorithm skills and how you structure and organize your code.
Assistant
The interview process was quite straightforward, easier than others I've experienced. There was just one practical exercise to see if my profile fit the job offered by the company.
- Tell me about your past experience and future projects.
