First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hook Agency.
Financial Administrative Assistant
I sent in my application online. A person from the hiring team gave me a call for a phone screen. Then, about a week after that, I went in for an interview in person. They gave me the offer the very next day after the interview.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- Could you describe your relevant experience?
- What makes you a good culture fit for our team?
Web Designer
The interview process was really smooth and they kept in touch. Each interview was set up right after the last one. They gave me really clear instructions about my interviews, telling me what would be covered and how to get to the building or where to park. Each interview felt pretty relaxed but they still got all the important info across. I had a recruiter call, then a technical screen, and finally an onsite.
- Can you tell me about a time you juggled multiple responsibilities on a project with a tight deadline?
Project Manager
First, a phone call. Then, an in-person meeting with future coworkers where they asked questions about my background and my mindset for the job. Finally, an in-person meeting with the owner and higherups to discuss if my working style meshes with their culture, which is always ready to work and not really a 9-5, focused on getting stuff done.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated a scrappy mindset?
SEO Content Specialist
Applied through LinkedIn and got a referral from a friend. The hiring manager reached out on LinkedIn for a quick phone screening with basic questions about my background and interest. After a few days, I was invited for an in-person interview with 3-4 team members. This interview covered typical questions about experience and work attitude. A week later, there was a second interview with 2-3 people, focusing more on 'culture fit' and team dynamics through group conversation, also touching on personal life. I received an offer the same day, with a start date over two weeks out.
- Can you detail your experience relevant to this role?
- What drew you to apply for this specific position?
- Could you describe your background in writing?
