I was initially contacted for a phone interview for one role, but didn't hear back. However, three months later, I was invited for an in-person interview for a different position. During the interview, two people asked standard, predictable questions. I felt I was a great fit, but unfortunately, I didn't get the offer due to some behind-the-scenes issue with an existing employee.

Honkamp had a meet the firm night where they presented about the company. Then we broke into groups and rotated through different rooms talking with different people to learn about Honkamp. One of the rotations was an interview. It only lasted about 20 minutes. It was a bit odd because we were supposed to dress casually. The interviewer was nice and it was more for information, but it felt pretty informal overall.

So, I had this initial chat with HR, then a second interview with the hiring manager and the CIO. They said they liked me and wanted to move forward, so I did an online personality test. After that, HR checked in about my salary expectations again, which we'd already talked about. Then, about a week later, they emailed saying they're going with someone else who 'seems to fit their needs better right now'.
