I thought the interview process was a mess. Communication between the leadership and HR was really bad. They had to reschedule the interview a bunch of times, and the whole hiring process took forever. The interview felt really impersonal, and they didn't really explain the job or what the company needed.

HR started with a phone interview, then HR scheduled a phone-virtual interview with the Dean to discuss qualifications. The final stage was an in-person interview where faculty had to give a presentation on a topic of their choice to the interviewers.

The recruiter who was supposed to call me for an initial phone interview didn't show up. About 3 hours after the scheduled time, they sent a message apologizing for missing the interview because they were at a luncheon. They asked for my availability to reschedule, saying they wanted to do it at my earliest convenience. I replied with my availability, thinking I'd give it another shot. But I haven't heard back from them since, which really says something about the work environment.

The interview process started with a phone interview. If I passed that, I would have an in-person interview. The questions asked during the phone interview were pretty basic, mainly to see if my education and experience fit the job.
