I applied for the Junior Help Desk Technician role online and was quickly contacted by an HR point of contact who asked some basic screening questions. About a week later, I was invited for a second interview. This interview included both an HR representative and an IT representative. I was asked standard interview questions along with some IT skills questions. The last part of the interview was a simulated help desk interaction. The whole team was professional and polite, really representing the company well.

I applied online in December 2017. The first contact was a phone interview with HR, followed by a call with the Hiring Manager in January. Then, over the next two weeks, I had in-person interviews. They offered me the job the last week of January 2018. HFC was very professional throughout the entire process. They emailed after every call and structured each interview well, letting me know what to expect next. This was the most detailed interview process I've been through, starting with the initial phone screen, then an in-person interview with two panels of four people each, and finally an in-depth interview with the Hiring Manager. I really appreciated the time they invested to make sure I was the right fit. It was a great chance to ask questions and learn more about HFC and the role itself, beyond what I found online.

They said I'd hear back by the start of the next week, but they offered me the job the same day.

My experience interviewing at Homestar Financial was really good and easy. The HR folks were happy to answer anything I asked. They spent time getting to know me and told me about the company. The trickiest part was the online test before the in-person interview. It was a fast hiring process and they seem like a good place to work.
