Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Homes.com.
Sales Representative
The interview process was quite involved, starting with a phone call, then a zoom interview, followed by a zoom mock sales pitch, and finally an in person interview at the office.
- Can you explain why you hold a particular opinion or viewpoint on a given subject?
- Persuade the interviewer that Mad Max: Fury Road is a good film and merits a watch.
Sales
It was a phone screening first, then a sales demo with a sales manager/director, and finally an in-person behavioral interview with a sales director or executive.
- What makes you the best candidate for this position?
- What interests you about a career in sales?
- Can you tell me about a time you failed significantly?
Sales
It was a good interview process overall. A third-party recruiter handled things until the third interview. The team interview went well, but the follow-up was rough. I got the job offer, but never received the actual package. HR was unresponsive to my emails and delayed sending my offer until my start date, which was a month away. When I finally got it, the compensation was much lower than what was initially discussed.
- If you could be any animal, which one would you choose to be?
