I had a quick call with the recruiter first. Then, the hiring manager had a more in-depth phone chat with me. After that, I was given some homework to test my skills. The final step was an in-person meeting with the team. They were great people and seemed really smart. The office itself was pretty nice, too. I think they have some really good people and products. It's a shame I didn't get the job this time. Even though there was a lot of homework and testing, it felt like it was important for the role. I'll definitely be watching for other openings there.

I saw the job posting on Indeed and a recruiter reached out soon after I applied. First, I had a phone call with the recruiter, then a phone interview with my future manager. After that, I got a take-home test where I had to write SQL queries on some provided tables. It started simple but got trickier as I dug into the data, which was a fun challenge. Finally, I went to the office for three in-person interviews: one with the VP of Product, one with a Product Manager, and one with the VP of Technology. The questions were mostly typical stuff like explaining my background, career goals, and how I approach triaging workflows.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • The take-home test included a trick that required an 'union all', so pay close attention to the datasets and how they might combine.
  • It's important to closely examine the datasets and best visualize their potential joins.

Applied online and heard back from the recruiter within a couple days. Had a brief phone screen with the recruiter, then a brief phone interview with the sales manager. There was also a writing assignment. The final step was an in-person interview where I met with 4 different people and shadowed the sales team. Got the offer on the spot.

Applied online and got an email about a week later for a screening interview. First, there was a 30-min screening chat. A day after, I was scheduled to talk with the hiring manager. We talked for over an hour and I asked, "is there a reason why you wouldn't hire me?" He said "no." We had a positive conversation and the next step was an in-person meeting.
