Customer Success Manager
So the interview process started with a phone screen, then I had to do a take-home assessment. They went over the job description pretty thoroughly and asked me some basic background questions. The person I spoke with was nice and really knew their stuff about the role and what challenges come with it.
- Can you describe a time you had to explain to someone not good with tech how to get to online training?
In Home Caregiver
It was a panel interview with multiple people interviewing me. They asked about my passion and experience working with elderly people. I was asked why I would choose this company. We talked about training, home care, and working in the field. They also asked situational questions. My education was discussed. Then there was a background fingerprint check.
- What's your experience working with seniors who have disabilities?
Human Resources Generalist
The recruiter for the company called me and asked for a time to set up a phone interview. I gave him availability and he never responded. He then emailed me two weeks later to apologize. We spoke and he said that "he liked what he was hearing" and wanted me to meet with their hiring manager. I had to keep following up because he would respond two or three days later. He tentatively set a date for June 6 at 2PM. I followed up with him on June 5th but got no response. I followed up with him on June 6th and he replied at the end of the day saying the hiring manager was out and he wasn't sure when she would be back, but that he already spoke with her and was trying to set up a time for me to come in. Today I received an automatic email saying "my qualifications were not a fit." This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. If I were not a fit, why was I lied to and why couldn't they tell me that up front? I was in shock. They are really pathetic and they are a non-profit who are supposed to help people. Disgusting. My suggestion to them is to hire someone who knows how to treat people with respect.

Recruiter
We went over my resume, my recruiting philosophy, and the company. We talked about my goals and they really dug into why I wanted to be their recruiter and what my time here would look like. They gave a very honest picture of the company, the role, the job specifics, and what they hoped the incoming recruiter would achieve.
