Got a call really fast after applying. The first interview went well, so they moved me to the next round. The second round went great, but then they just ghosted me. No updates, nothing. Then, like 6 months later, I got a rejection email that was super unprofessional and lazy. This company really doesn't know how to hire people.

I went through 5 interview rounds for a PMM position. After the initial 3 rounds, I was informed they had hired someone who had previously worked there and was a perfect fit. They asked if I was still interested in interviewing for a lower level role, which I accepted. I then had a 4th round with the person who was hired as my manager, and she mentioned they had reached out to her about the job. My 5th round was with the hiring manager. After the 5th interview, I was ghosted and received no feedback after following up.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview experience felt unique and more friendly than usual, but there was some disorganization and a lack of feedback on how I could have improved. Initially, I interviewed in December 2021 for a CS role, going through 3 rounds: video responses, an HR phone interview, and a Zoom interview with a team lead and manager. I didn't get the position. About a month later, I was invited back for a different role in another department. This involved another 3 rounds: a phone interview with the same HR person, a Zoom interview with the department head, and a homework assignment (reverse interview). I didn't get that role either and requested feedback, but unfortunately didn't receive a response. Another month passed, and I was invited to interview for the original CS position again. This time, I skipped the initial phone screen and video questions. I had a Zoom interview with the manager of the team, with some questions similar to the first interview, which made me wonder what I could have done differently. Then, a final Zoom interview with the director of the department followed. Shortly after, the manager extended an offer. I'm happy to be working at Homebot now, but I wish there had been fewer overlapping and duplicate interview rounds, and that I had received feedback on how to improve each time. It would have been helpful to know how to stand out more initially.

I sent in my application and answered a few initial questions online. Then, I had to record short video responses for a few more common interview questions. It was a bit awkward, but I liked that I could re-record until I was happy with it. Next up was a quick phone interview where they asked behavioral questions. After that, I had a video call. Both the phone and video interviews were supportive, and I felt like the interviewers were genuinely interested in me. The last step would have been a project assignment.
