First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Home Paramount Pest Control.
Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
The hiring process was efficient, and I was contacted shortly after submitting my application. During the interview, they addressed all my questions and concerns, and explained the expectations for the role if I were to accept the offer.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
- What are your professional goals?
Technical Specialist
First, I talked to someone from HR over the phone. We discussed my experience with pest control, entomology, and some general stuff. Then, the interview got pretty intense. I had to give a PowerPoint presentation about a pest I picked. After that, I met with the Technical Department and the COO. They made a decision about 4 months after I finished the interview stuff.
- Are you okay with traveling often?
- Do you mind starting your day very early, like before 5 AM?
- Tell me about your structural pest control experience.
Branch Manager
I had a quick call with the recruiter first. Then, I had an in-person meeting with the regional manager, which lasted about 45 minutes. He mostly talked about his own experience and didn't ask me too many questions. Maybe he could tell early on that I wasn't a good fit, because I mentioned being disappointed about the lack of work-life balance for the pay offered.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Finance Area
After applying, I was contacted quickly by the HR Manager and interviewed two days later. I'd actually done a phone interview about a year prior that went well, but it seems they wanted someone to work a lot for less pay. The HR Manager seemed to think I was the one and said he'd call the next day to set up a meeting with the Daughter who handled legal stuff, then we'd talk salary and benefits. But, he never called. Over a month later, I found out they'd hired someone else. It seems they were looking to underpay and overwork someone.
- Tell me about your ability to multitask, prioritizing family needs when they come up, putting family before customers.
- The family's money is closely watched, so how do you keep an eye on spending and not go over budget?
