First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Home Depot Foundation.
Business Systems Analyst
I had a panel interview that started with structured questions. After that, I was given a case study and then discussed my findings with the hiring manager. Using the STAR method for your answers is a good strategy.
- Can you describe an instance where you encountered ambiguity while working?
Office Manager
It was a totally standard interview, nothing out of the ordinary. No special prep needed, just be chill, be yourself, and you'll do great.
- Can you tell me about your greatest strength?
Associate
First there was a phone interview to talk about the job and see if my qualifications fit. Then I had an interview during the day with the manager who asked a list of questions made by the company and wrote down my answers. They scored the answers and the person with the best score got another interview with the director and supervisor. After that, there was a drug test and some paperwork. Then I got hired.
- Tell me about a significant obstacle or problem you faced in your prior role and explain how you effectively managed it.
Sales Associate
They asked a few questions about my experiences with teamwork and projects I have been a part of. We had a nice conversation that lasted about half an hour. I went into much more detail than expected (you can really let your personality shine, you're going to be a sales associate after all). Overall, they are very kind and it's a good experience.
- Can you tell me about a time you worked in a group?
