I applied online by submitting my resume. Then, Home Depot Canada called me for a phone interview and asked for permission to contact my references. After that, they invited me for an in-person interview at the store. They contacted at least two of my references before the interview. The supervisor conducted the interview using a standard questionnaire where they noted down their thoughts and rated my answers. I got the offer 16 days after the interview.

There were 2 phone interviews, the first one was to go over the job description and expectations, and the second one had some quick questions. After that, there was an in-person interview. The whole hiring process took a few weeks because of a criminal record check and reference checks, but it all went smoothly. I was kept in the loop about my status and didn't have to wonder if I got the job.
