First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Home Depot Canada.
Marketing Analyst
The interview process at The Home Depot Canada was pretty good and not stressful. The hiring manager talked about specific tactics for the job and the practical experience I'd need.
- Tell me about your hands-on experience with SQL.
Merchandiser
I applied online by submitting my resume. Then, Home Depot Canada called me for a phone interview and asked for permission to contact my references. After that, they invited me for an in-person interview at the store. They contacted at least two of my references before the interview. The supervisor conducted the interview using a standard questionnaire where they noted down their thoughts and rated my answers. I got the offer 16 days after the interview.
- Can you share some of your past job experience that demonstrates you are the most suitable candidate for this role?
Merchandiser
There were 2 phone interviews, the first one was to go over the job description and expectations, and the second one had some quick questions. After that, there was an in-person interview. The whole hiring process took a few weeks because of a criminal record check and reference checks, but it all went smoothly. I was kept in the loop about my status and didn't have to wonder if I got the job.
- Tell me about a situation where you had multiple tasks due by the end of the day and it looked like you might not finish them all. How did you handle it?
