I got a call from Dan at HQ in Toronto, and we scheduled an interview for the following Monday. On that Monday, I interviewed with the MET manager. Since the offices were being used for computer training, the interview took place in a noisy back room. I filled out paperwork for references and a background check. The manager then asked over 10 questions, which felt like it took forever, about half an hour total. At one point, she seemed a bit frustrated because I was struggling to recall examples for her questions. It was an awkward interview, and I'm unsure if I got the job or if I'll hear back from her or Dan.

I posted my resume online, then I took one to the store, then I had a friend put in a referral for me. Finally, after applying for a bunch of positions, I got an interview for this one. The interview went well. I was interviewed by the department manager and the assistant manager. The department manager asked me a bunch of standard questions from a sheet while the assistant manager filled in my responses onto his copy. This was followed by a role play. I told them about my experience, showed them some work I had done to meet their qualifications, and asked a few questions at the end.

You can apply online or at job fairs, and there's a test to see if you're a good fit. The first interview might be a quick chat at a job fair or a phone call, with about 9 questions. Sometimes HR calls afterwards for a few more questions. Then, you'll have an in-person meeting with a department supervisor and an Assistant Store Manager. If that goes well, you'll have a third interview with the store manager.
