The hire view interview was pretty straight forward. Then, moving into the phone interview, they were very nice and the questions weren't too difficult. I thought I did well and all my responses came across well.

This was probably the nicest interview I've had. It was an hour at their Waukee HQ with the hiring manager and their boss. It felt super conversational and chill, which was awesome for getting to know each other and the job. We talked a lot about my past work and what I want in my next role. They didn't hit me with tough tech questions then, but maybe later. They really seemed to care about personality fit, not just skills. There was even a quick personality test beforehand. Make sure you have good questions for them too. They were open about what the team does, how this role fits, the tech stack, benefits, and company vibe. I backed out because I wanted to look outside insurance, but if you're into that, you'd probably dig it here.

So, this was a really weird interview process, taking over 4 months total. It started with a phone interview, and then I got invited for an in-person. Just a couple days before that, a different recruiter from talent acquisition reached out, mentioning new similar roles. I told them about my upcoming interview, and that was that. When I got there, they said the jobs I applied for weren't available anymore, and I was actually interviewing for these new positions. They also weren't sure about the timeline for hiring anymore. I still did the interview, which was okay, and followed up with all three interviewers about the timeline, but only one responded vaguely. About a week later, I emailed the first recruiter, no response. Then I emailed the second TA person, who said he didn't know about these specific roles. A lot of time passed, and the jobs were still posted. TEN WEEKS later, I emailed the original recruiter again, and finally, a few days after that, got a generic rejection email for the original roles I thought I was interviewing for, which I kind of figured but wanted to confirm. The whole thing was a mess and left a bad impression.

Found Holmes Murphy on our Career Website. Applied for the position and was contacted for a phone interview. After the phone interview I completed a series of skills tests and then was called in for a On-campus interview. About 2 and half weeks after that was called in for a onsite Interview in WDM which consisted of three hour long interviews. In all interview process was long and through. Just be yourself and be comfortable.
