Behavioral Technical Other

It was a quick process but the hiring managers were horrible. I applied for 2 positions but they didn't specify which one I was interviewing for when they sent the invite. I passed the phone screen and then interviewed with the hiring managers. It was the worst interview I've ever had. They barely talked about the company and only briefly touched on the technical aspects. They didn't ask me to introduce myself, so I had to take the lead. Then, they hit me with over 10 questions in 40 minutes. Most of their questions seemed to doubt the legitimacy of my resume experience. The senior manager kept interrupting me, even when I was answering another manager's question, just a minute into my response. Once they confirmed I was a contractor and not an employee from a FAANG company, the senior manager lost all interest and was silent for most of the remainder of the interview. After the technical assessment, he didn't even bother with my questions. Also, the job title was Maritime Info System and Data Analytics Intern, but they asked marketing-related questions about best sellers and transactions. I've seen many positive reviews, but they must be for different departments. Their attitude was terrible, full of arrogance and zero politeness.

First I talked to a recruiter, just some basic stuff. Then I had a chat with the hiring manager, which was more technical, asking about what I've done before, like on my resume. After that, it was a panel with 4 people, and again, they focused on the technical side based on my resume. My advice is to really know your resume inside out, and brush up on all your technical skills and past projects before you go in. For example, they asked me about how I did a migration, the technical steps involved, and my role in it. It seemed like they really wanted to understand my technical depth. Even though I got an offer, I passed because the job description had a lot of different responsibilities, but from talking to the hiring manager, it sounded like I'd mostly be doing production support for the first year or two, which wasn't what I was looking for.

It started with a phone screen with the recruiter to go over expectations and my general experience. Then there was a skills assessment which was super hard, I felt like I did terribly but they were happy with it, I don't think they expect you to finish it. After that, I had an interview with the manager(s) and then with the department leads/directors.
