Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hogan Lovells.
Lawyer
Everything was fine. It was quite simple, with some technical questions and an English test. It lasted about 30 minutes. They also asked about my previous work experiences. Generally, they asked about my goals and academic career.
- In which cases is a simplified appeal of cognition applicable?
Trainee Lawyer
The initial interview was quite informal, the interviewer asked me to talk about myself and my university path, if I had any international experiences, then asked me to list 3 strengths and 3 weaknesses; finally, she asked me some questions in English to check my language proficiency.
- Could you please list three of your strengths and three of your weaknesses?
Attorney
The interview process felt a bit impersonal since some of the interviewers were in a different state and we communicated via live chat/feed screen. Otherwise, it was pretty straightforward. They got right to it about how I might fit in with the firm. I really liked how fast everything moved. They brought me in quickly after I applied and made a decision not long after.
- Can you describe your experience with specific issues and situations you have encountered?
