It involved checking my industry knowledge, knowledge of products, and process engineering. They wanted to know how well I understood cutting tools and the company's focused growth areas. It would also be a great deal if I understood hand tools and metrology.

I applied in March and went through a really long interview process that took 5 months. The first interview was at the end of April, the second at the end of May, the third at the end of June, and the final interview was at the end of July. In the end, they sent a rejection email.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process is split into three separate appointments to check if one fits culturally, professionally, and personally into the company/team. I always perceived it as very positive and found the process very pleasant. 1. Getting to know each other. In the first conversation, you first discuss expectations and see if you fit the company and the position. 2. Interview with the responsible persons and colleagues. Here, the focus is on professional expertise, knowledge, and the CV. 3. Getting to know the team on-site. Here you get to know the team and colleagues face-to-face and check if the personal chemistry is right. Basically, I can say that the conversations were always very pleasant, professional, and also fun, even though unfortunately it didn't quite work out in the end. (Which is better to find out early than later in the probationary period)
