Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HMSHost.
Barista
The interview process was well-organized and quick. The interviewers were professional and clear, and I felt at ease. They kept me informed and explained the job and what's expected. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'm feeling good about the next steps.

I went to a job fair at the airport, and waited in line for 2 hours. Right when I was about to get interviewed, they told us all to put our contact information down because they ran out of time. They couldn't do any more interviews. They should have told us to leave like 30 minutes to an hour before so we didn't waste our time. They said they'd call us to schedule individual interviews, but I doubt they'll call all 50+ people individually. This company is incompetent and disorganized, and doesn't care about people, so I wouldn't work for them.

Cook
The interview process was pretty good and I got the job on the spot. Everything was okay, I just wish that the manager made more eye contact and that the pay was more. The pay was not so good but the food was awesome, plus eating for free every day.
