The interview process for this civil role is quite structured. The civil service careers website offers helpful advice about the interview style, behaviors, and competencies you will be evaluated on. It really depends on who interviews you, but my interview panel was welcoming and friendly. There were three panel members, including an independent person who isn't connected to the team or your potential work, which made it feel fair.

It was a good experience, even though it was a bit misleading at first. The process has since been improved and is now much better organized and more relaxed. The interviewers were good, and I felt I could relate to them, making it a positive experience overall.

It was a pretty straightforward interview, around 35 minutes long. Two people were asking me questions to see what experience I had. I had to answer using the STAR method. We also had about 5 minutes of just chatting. The interviewers were really laid back and nice.
