So first you have to do this online test, it's competency-based and has a timed section for numerical and analytical skills, like testing your attention to detail. Honestly, it's pretty easy if you're just truthful, 'cause it asks for two-part answers. If you pass that, you get invited to a pre-recorded interview. It has 5 steps: you show your ID, then there's an ice breaker - like 'what was your favourite place you visited?' These first two parts aren't scored though. After that, there are 3 questions. The ones I got were: Q1. Tell me about a time you had to meet a challenging deadline, how you did this and communicated with people? Q2. About a time where you had to adapt your communication (more sympathetic, direct, assertive eg). Q3. A time you have dealt with a difficult group or individual? How did you deal with this? These questions aren't word-for-word exact, but they're close. Just so you know, the questions can change, so don't prep answers from Googling them. I'd suggest looking at different questions and thinking about real situations you've been in. It's fine to take your time thinking and speak slowly.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you share an instance where you faced a tough deadline, how you managed it, and your communication approach?
  • Describe a situation where you had to modify your communication style to be more sympathetic, direct, or assertive.
  • Tell me about a time you handled a difficult person or group. What was your approach?

I applied for a role and first had to do an assessment. After that, I got invited to a remote video interview on the SHL platform, which I had 7 days to complete from the email date. The interview itself had 6 steps, with 3 main questions (see below). I had 3 minutes to prep for each, and couldn't re-record, it was a one-shot deal. Still waiting to hear back! I'd recommend looking up the questions on Glassdoor and having your answers ready beforehand. SHL uses a bank of pre-recorded questions and picks 3 randomly for each interview. I'm sure most of them are on this site. Good luck with your interview! Don't stress – use the prep time to plan, and don't rush when recording. Breathe, speak clearly, and give details. You can do it!

The interview process involved pre-recorded questions answered online. Candidates have about 20 seconds to prep before the recording starts, and then 2 minutes to answer, though they can stop early if finished. The application and interview process felt pretty straightforward. I'm actually on my second application because the interview process is quite lengthy. I'm still waiting for results from my first interview, which was back in December.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Could you explain how you adapt your communication for different audiences?
  • What are your interests outside of your professional life?
