I had one interview that lasted between 30 minutes to an hour. It was mostly behavioral questions with a few soft technical ones mixed in. It was a pretty good experience, not too stressful, and the interviewer ended up becoming my mentor.

The COO emailed me to set up the first interview because the HR person was out of town. Apparently, they've been telling that to other candidates too. Despite reading some bad reviews, I went into the phone screening with an open mind and thought the questions were pretty easy, and the call went great. The COO quickly said I'd hear back by the end of the week about next steps because I was so qualified. Since it's a hybrid role, I figured things would move fast with fewer applicants. I didn't hear back by the end of the week, so I reached out the next week for an update and feedback. They completely ghosted me, never giving me next steps or even a rejection.

Had a general phone conversation, then didn't hear much. After a few follow-ups, I went in for an in-person conversation to talk more about the role and my career goals. They mentioned the partner wanted to meet whoever they were going to bring in and couldn't meet that day, which is understandable. I was told they'd follow up to schedule another meeting. I did get to see some of the interior space, very cool design and building. After not hearing anything for a few weeks, I sent a few follow-up emails and left a voicemail, but I never heard back. I get that maybe they didn't think I was a fit for the role or something else happened, but it would have been nice to know since I was actively looking for jobs then. I was also really excited about the opportunity.

Behavioral Presentation

I got an email to set up an online interview. The interview itself was great, and the interviewer said I should hear back by the end of the week after they checked with others, with a goal to onboard me the following week. That made me think I had the job. It was a Thursday interview, so I waited a full week. No word. I emailed early the next week and was told to hang tight as people were traveling and they were still reviewing. Weeks passed with no update. About a month after the interview, I emailed again and got no response. Even though the interview was positive, I was misled and then ghosted. The job was still posted for weeks. I guess I dodged a bullet. Maybe the interviewer left, or they're just unprofessional. I waited this long to review because I was still hoping to hear back.
