Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hitachi Rail.
Software Analyst
First there was an HR round where they asked basic behavioural questions and more about my prior experiences. Then a Managers round where they asked about my familiarity with the relevant programming languages and projects that used them, and gave me 2 coding problems (leetcode style easy and medium/hard). They didn’t really reach out to update on the application.
- Can you tell me more about your projects?
Software Analyst
The interview process was pretty easy, mostly behavioral questions and some OOP concepts. They mostly went over my resume and projects as well as my experience. There was 1 hiring manager, who was very nice, and passionate with regards to the railway industry.
- What is your interest in the railway industry?
Software Analyst
They started by asking me about myself, my experience, and why I wanted to work there. It was pretty laid-back, just a way for them to get to know me. After that, there was a technical interview.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Walk me through your resume experience.
- What motivates your interest in joining our company?
