The interview process was pretty straightforward and professional. It was just one interview round and a take-home challenge. The interview mainly focused on my past work experience, particularly how I used data to back up business decisions and create reports. The interviewer was friendly and asked follow-up questions to really understand my contribution to previous projects. There weren't any tricky technical questions; it was more about practical experience and how well I could communicate. The Take-Home Challenge involved a small data analysis task using Excel or Power BI to look at a dataset and build a dashboard with some insights. It was a reasonable task, doable in a day if you're comfortable with data visualization tools.

We want you to contribute to real projects by helping us design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, and designers, to build innovative tech products. You'll also learn from experienced engineers by participating in code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging sessions. Plus, you'll get exposure to modern development tools like agile methodologies and cloud platforms, and we encourage you to explore new technologies and stay up to date with emerging trends in software engineering.

You start by sending in your application and resume. If they like it, they'll hit you up for a quick chat, maybe over the phone or video, to see if you're a good fit and talk about what you've done. Then, there might be a technical test to check your skills with data. After that, they'll probably want to know how you handle stuff and work with others through a behavioral interview, asking about your past experiences. You could also have one or more technical interviews where you'll solve data problems or answer questions about stats and data stuff. Sometimes, they'll ask you to prep and show a case study or a data project. The final chat might be with higher-ups and could be a mix of questions, checking if you fit in. Before they decide, they'll check your references to make sure everything you said checks out. If you make it through all that, you'll get a job offer with the details.

I applied through Handshake and got an interview request in about two weeks. The interviewer used Chinese the whole time, which was unexpected. I wouldn't recommend applying unless you're really desperate. The questions were probably easy if you have a finance or accounting background, but I don't, and somehow I still got an interview. The interviewer kept saying my background wasn't a good fit and she didn't even know what the job posting said. This was the worst of my 13 interviews (I got 4 offers). Like the reviews say, don't consider this company unless you're desperate.
