Customer Support Representative
I applied on 1/2 and right after was told I would do a digital interview. I did that, with about 5 video answers (STAR questions), then a written response and some games. I got an email on 1/26 to set up a video interview, and I had it with a support lead on 2/1. It was pretty chill and they told me about HireVue benefits and the job, plus asked about my past work. They told me it's an ongoing position, so they might not be hiring now but will contact people who interviewed if they do later. Didn't know that going in, a bit of a bummer not getting a clear answer but good to know I'm past that stage and it's possible.
- Have you used Slack before? What's the most crucial aspect of teamwork?
- Do you have any experience using Slack? What do you believe is the most important element when working as part of a team?
Customer Support Specialist
After I applied online, I got an email within an hour to do a video interview using their software. For each question, you get 30 seconds to prep and 3 minutes to answer. It covered typical support role questions like ethical dilemmas, background, and difficult decisions with conflicting input. There was also a written response to a client regarding a missed deadline. The next part was a 'cognitive skills' game with numbers you had to repeat forwards and backwards on a keyboard, which I skipped as it seemed like a waste of time. This whole process felt impersonal and careless, not reflecting well on what it might be like to work there.
- Describe a situation where you made an ethical choice, even though the easier option was available.
- Could you share some details about your background, experience, and what you enjoy?
- Tell me about a challenging decision you faced where you received a lot of conflicting advice, and what was the result?
Customer Service Representative
The job is about helping customers through internet chat. You need to respond professionally and focus on making customers happy. The process involves checking the customer's order, figuring out what's wrong with it, looking up solutions in the support bank, and then applying the fix. After that, you confirm with the customer if the problem is solved. If not, you have to start over to find a solution.
- Can you tell me about your experience with internet-based customer service?
- Have you gotten good feedback on your customer service abilities in the past?
