Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HireRight.
Researcher
It was a quick process, involved three questions like "tell me about a time when...". They also had me write an email to check my grammar and spelling. The whole thing was done in about 30 minutes.
- Describe a situation where you made an error and the steps you took to fix it.
- Draft an email for a grammar and spelling check.

First, there was a phone call with a recruiter that included basic interview questions. Then, I was invited to an assessment day where I interviewed with the HR Manager and a team leader. The interview was pretty straightforward, focusing on competency-based questions where I had to provide examples of using my skills. The assessment itself was on paper and involved simple tasks like comparing CVs and writing an email based on given information.
- Can you share an instance where you had to handle multiple tasks simultaneously?
Researcher
I applied in the first week of January. I had a phone interview, followed by some assessments including data entry, Outlook, and Word. Then, I was invited for a face-to-face interview where I also had to complete additional assessments.
- What are the key elements you believe contribute to great customer service?
- Tell me about a situation where you worked well as part of a team.
- Could you share an example of when you had to clearly and concisely explain something to a customer?
