I sent in my application online and heard back in less than a day via email about an initial 30-minute phone interview. The call was set up pretty fast, and it went smoothly. They told me what to expect next before we even hung up. Now I'm just waiting for the local hiring manager to get in touch.

This was a terrible interview. I saw a review beforehand stating this company doesn't hire men, and I can confirm that. When I arrived, two employees immediately asked inappropriate questions like marital status and if I have children. My 9 am interview started late, with the manager not arriving until 9:25 am. I was then put on a Zoom call with two women from HQ while the manager was disengaged off-camera. The interview with the HQ women was typical, except for the odd comment, "Would you feel weird knowing you would be the only male in our company?" This was strange considering their website promotes diversity. After the interview, the manager said I'd hear back by the end of the week, but I didn't, and she provided no contact information for follow-up questions. It seems like if you're a male, they might just be interviewing you to meet a diversity quota.

I submitted my resume and then had a one-on-one interview. After that, there was an online test. The second interview was a group session with a salesperson and the manager of the payroll service. They really emphasized teamwork and were very interested in what extra skills I could offer to help increase revenue and boost my "value" to the company. I got an offer, and the company has good benefits that offer a lot of value.

Before sending my resume to a potential employer or starting a temp job, they first interviewed me to understand my career goals and preferences. They also asked some basic questions for the role. It was a pleasant conversation with their representative, and I felt my needs were understood and respected. When they called about a job afterward, they'd mention what aspects aligned with my interests and what didn't.
