Technical Behavioral

The interview process was not too difficult and seemed appropriate for an internship. It included one technical interview and one behavioral interview. The entire process wasn't very long, which was great because I'd be happy to join the company. The interviewer was very friendly and always smiling.

Coding

My one and only interview was a technical one, and honestly, it left a bad impression. I had to reschedule for the next day because I had issues with the coding environment, which I ended up fixing myself. It turned out to be missing webpack presets in the webpack.config file. After fixing it and rescheduling, the interviewer went on mute while I worked on tasks. They immediately started criticizing my approach instead of letting me finish. Then, for the second task, I had to change the computer time to American time. I was a bit confused but used Google to find the methods. At this point, I noticed the interviewer's displeasure, probably due to my lack of "0 work experience" in Software Engineering, and they just ended the interview. It wasn't cool. If I'm given 60 minutes, I want the full 60 minutes, and I'd prefer an interview more suited for a Junior role.

Behavioral Technical Coding

First, a recruiter will give you a call or Zoom to chat about your background, skills, and why you want to join HireBeat. You'll probably get some behavioral questions and talk a bit about your resume. Then, there's a data round where you'll tackle SQL and Python problems, look at some datasets, and talk about how you'd design a data pipeline. They might also ask about your experience with BigQuery, Tableau, and automation.
