I only had 1 virtual interview because I chose not to move forward for personal reasons but it was very pleasant and I had a great conversation with the team! It was mostly informal, with a few expected interview style questions! They offered a 2nd (and I believe final) interview on site with and executive team member.

The interviews started off great. Really generative conversations with the CEO. Though the multiple calls were quite long (all over an hour), they were well scheduled. At a certain point, however, it began to feel like unpaid labor, and shifted from hypotheticals to providing actual advice on their product (addressing enhancements and gaps). To make matters worse, especially for an HR company, they NEVER got back to me after multiple follow ups. They ghosted me and continued to post the job opening on multiple job boards.

It was a drawn-out, protracted experience for a 2 month contract of a client they were recruiting for. In addition to the application process a video response to questions were required. After waiting for weeks at a time for an update, I finally received word that I was on the short list. A week later I got notice that the client wanted to phone interview in another week. Fast forward a week to the day of the phone call and I am sitting around waiting for the call...and nothing. So, I email my handler and tell him that I am waiting for the call. I receive an email back saying that the client has selected someone else. HireArt wasn't going to even inform me. They completely forgot. Very unprofessional experience. Avoid at all costs.

After a quick initial confirmation that I was a potential candidate and that they wanted to proceed, the next step involved recording a video explaining why I'm a great candidate. It took them several weeks to inform me that they would not be moving forward with my application. I'm giving this company a poor rating because I don't feel their screening process is authentic. I think they should get rid of the video interview entirely. It doesn't feel the same as speaking on the phone or meeting in person. It's uncomfortable to just stare into a camera and explain why you're the best candidate.
