Connected with someone through a mutual colleague for a phone interview. Since I was in SoCal and they were in SF, they insisted on an in-person panel interview and office tour. I paid for my own flight to SF. The initial interviewer was late, and two of the three panel members were unavailable. I waited in a conference room for 30 minutes until the Head of Media spoke with me about background info already covered. Then, one person from the panel spoke with me 1-on-1 about marketing, seeming annoyed, and ended the interview after 20 minutes. I never heard back for over a week, and after multiple follow-ups, I was told they decided not to move forward because the role is very difficult and requires frequent late nights. This experience made me question their employee treatment.

I went through four phone interviews. The interviewers really emphasized the company culture and how the sales team is competitive, which they find really motivating. The interviews were casual conversations. It's a good idea to have questions ready about things you're genuinely curious about. They don't ask tricky brain-teaser or behavioral questions. You'll get a good sense of the role and potential for growth within the company, as everyone shared stories about their own career progression at Hint. Having relevant experience is key!

It was a five-round process for me. It began with a phone screening, then I had four more interviews with different people on the team, and I even got to chat with the CFO. To move on to the third round, I had to do a project for the hiring manager. HR was really good at keeping me in the loop and always got back to me quickly. Basically, the interviews involved standard technical and behavioral questions. Nothing tricky. Everyone I met was really nice and professional. It sounds like a great place to work.

I got an email to schedule a phone screen with the Talent Coordinator. During the call, they described the job and asked about my background. A week after the phone screen, I got another email to set up a video interview. I talked with the Operations Manager, who was really nice and helpful. They thought I didn't have as much experience as they were looking for, but I learned a lot about Hint. It seemed like a great place to work, and I'll check for openings there again. Two days after that, they let me know the position was filled.
