I first had a recruiter chat, who had a design background and asked more in-depth questions than typical recruiters. Then there was a 75-minute portfolio and CV review. After that, I went through an onsite loop with 5-6 one-on-one interviews and some informational chats with team members. During the offer stage, I was invited to speak with additional organizational leaders.

The interview process at Hinge Health is pretty thorough. First, you talk to a recruiter, then the hiring manager. For my specific role, there was a panel interview that included a case study. After that, the hiring manager checked my references before extending an offer. Other roles might have a bit of a different flow, but by the end, I felt really confident they wanted me and had enough interaction with them to make a good decision.

Behavioral Other

I had a recruiter call to discuss the role and my background. At the end of the call, they asked for two of my previous managers' names. I thought it was a bit strange for a preliminary chat, but I gave them since I was interested. I didn't hear back after that, so I emailed to check if I was still in the running. No reply. I emailed again a week later, still nothing. I was totally ghosted. I get it if I didn't get the job, but an email would have been nice. It didn't make me feel great about their HR or hiring process.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Could you give me the names of two former managers?
