Client Success Manager
The interview process was quite lengthy, more so than what I've experienced at other startups. It wasn't overly challenging, but it felt inefficient. Initially, there's a recruiter call, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager. Then, there's an 'onsite' interview that lasts around 3 hours. I found it unnecessary to meet with two directors and then another person for a presentation. A more logical flow would be: recruiter, hiring manager, a couple of team members for cultural fit, and then the presentation. If the goal of meeting two directors is to get different perspectives, they could either both attend one meeting or combine their questions and only one director needs to be involved. Another significant issue was the CSM project, which was excessively long. While not difficult, it needs to be shortened. It's a three-part project: first, create a SAP for a fictional client (4-8 slides); second, develop a marketing plan (also 4-8 slides); and third, analyze a dataset, typically straightforward, but it takes time to review, use formulas, and create graphs. They ask you to limit your time to 'two hours' on this, which seems impossible unless you're using AI or have a very basic design aesthetic, to complete a 12-24 page deck and data analysis. It would be better to focus on one crucial aspect for the team, like data insights, creative ideas, or attention to detail, and let the candidate focus on that. I believe the interview process reveals a lot about a company if you pay attention to the details.
- Can you share an instance where a client or partner was at risk and describe your actions?
Client Success Manager
The recruiter was super communicative and helpful during the whole process. However, the interviews themselves felt very robotic. It was like talking to a wall for all 4 interviews. They just read off a list of questions and didn't dig deeper into my answers, just moved on to the next one. It felt really corporate, not like a fast-paced startup. It seemed like they were rushing through the questions instead of having a real conversation about my skills and what I've done.
- What would your manager say about you?
- What is your greatest strength and weakness?
Client Success Manager
The Hinge Health team (recruiting and Client Success) was super organized and really thoughtful through the whole process. The recruiter was great at getting back to me and answered all my questions.
- Can you give an overview of each role you've previously held?
- What were your most significant accomplishments in each position?
- What were the most challenging aspects or low points you experienced in those roles?
