Behavioral Technical Presentation Group Case

This was one of the most comprehensive selection processes I have been through. First, they screened our resumes. Then, there were online tests including personality, verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning and inductive reasoning tests. After that, I had to do a 3-minute self-recorded video talking about myself, my greatest achievement and why I wanted to join Hilti. This was followed by an HR Panel interview with two HR people. Finally, there was a full-day assessment center which involved group discussions, a role-play scenario, a self-introduction presentation, a case-study presentation, and a panel interview.

Behavioral Technical

The hiring process involved a typical sequence of about 6-7 interviews, including meetings with the hiring manager, peers, and other team members. The interviewers were well-prepared and asked insightful, sometimes probing, but always respectful questions. Unfortunately, the HR department was generally slow to respond and not very helpful. There was a noticeable attitude that securing a job offer from Hilti is a significant achievement in itself, implying candidates should accept graciously without negotiation. This was quite disappointing given the lengthy process and the considerable time and effort I invested.

I had a Skype interview with HR, the head count owner, a cross-functional team leader, and the functional manager. After passing all those Skype interviews, I then had face-to-face interviews with the head count owner, cross-functional team leader, and Functional Manager all on the same day.
