First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hillwood.
Dev Manager
It was a long and slow interview process, taking about 8 weeks to complete. I met with multiple people during this time but received very little feedback from the company. Honestly, it didn't feel like they were super excited to hire someone for this role, which isn't very appealing in the current job market.
- Did you complete the personality quiz and how seriously did you take it?
Accountant
I wasn't keen on working in north Fort Worth but took this interview because my recruiter recommended it. This is a well-funded group of companies under the Perot umbrella. The offices are nice, but too quiet and felt lifeless. I was very detailed during my interview about my highly responsible past accounting positions. The interview went well, but then I got fake feedback about my explanations of prior experience. This was a huge turnoff, so I wouldn't recommend wasting time interviewing here unless you happen to live in north Fort Worth.
- Can you describe a typical day in your previous role?
Operations Associate
First, I had a phone call that lasted about an hour. I talked with the hiring manager about the job and my current job. Then, I went to their new office for an in-person interview. I spoke with 4 people there for about 2 hours about different things. After that, I had to do a Caliber assessment, which took an hour. The last interview was back at the office and lasted about an hour and a half.
- What concerns do you have about joining this company?
Acquisitions
Started with a general call with an in-house recruiter. The second interview was with an associate team member to assess technical skills. Then there was a call with the direct report. The fourth meeting was an in-person meeting with the team closest to my location.
- What motivates your interest in industrial real estate?
