It was pretty chill and straightforward. I talked to three different supervisors for the program. They asked me about my past experiences and how I'd handle made-up situations. They also evaluated my skills, how competent I am, and my motivations for choosing this career.

Hillsides' hiring process is slow. It starts with HR reviewing applications, which takes a while for them to process. Even if you get an offer, there are at least three interviews before a decision is made. After that, you have to go through background checks, fingerprinting, and then training. It can take about two months before you actually start working, which is tough if you need a paycheck quickly.

It was a pretty standard in person interview. After that, they had me submit references, which they called within a week. I then had a follow up interview and got the offer pretty soon after. The whole thing took a few weeks.
